Dual SIMが4G+3Gで動くことで好評を博しているXiaomi Mi5にGoogleサービスを導入して普段使いにすべく設定しました。実のところ、このブログを書いている時点で既にGolbal ROMが出ているので、そちらを導入した方が手っ取り早いとは思います。他の中華アンドロイドでの応用が出来る可能性もありますので、覚書として手順を書いておきます。

I setup my Mi5 (China ROM) to synchronise with Google calendar and contacts without obtaining root.  Let me write only essential items in English.  This is just what I did, I am not sure this is the best solution or not.  Actually, Mi5 Global ROM is available now. It would be better than this procedure.

今回はルート化せずに使うことを目的としています。ネット情報を探すと直ぐ見つかるように小米のApp StoreからGoogle Installerを導入すると手軽にGoogleアプリケーションを導入することが出来ます。ところがスケジュールとコンタクトを同期することが出来ませんでした。それをどうやって解決するかというのが、この記事の主な目的です。

何が最適解なのかは検証不足ですが、以下の手順で上手く行きました。

小米のApp Storeで”Google”を検索して見つかる中国語版でも同様と思いますが、私はたまたま入手した英語版のGoogle Installer version 2.0を使用しました。以下のリンクから入手可能です。

[ 私が踏んだ手順 ] – Procedure 

• Factory data resetを実行。綺麗な状態から始めたかったからです。
  Perfromed “Factory data reset” .
  -> Settings/Additional settings/Backup & reset/Factory data reset
• Settings/Additional settings/Privacy/Unknowon sources -> On
• Google Installer version 2.0を導入
  Install “Google Installer version 2.0”.
• Google Installerを実行し画面の支持に従います。この時、ポップアップ画面に対してボタンを押していきますが、ボタンを押す前に1,2分画面を眺めてから押すようにします。さもないと、続けて表れるポップアップを見失ってしまいます。
  Follow the “Google Installer” to install multiple modules. You need to press appropriate button on pop-up screen. Before pressing button, please wait one or two minutes, otherwise you will miss following pop-up screens and installation will be failed.
• 最後、Google Play Storeの導入が終了したところでGoogle Installerが停止したというエラーが出れば正常に終了です。
  After “Google Play Store” installation completion, you will see error message about unexpected Google Installer stop. This is good sign. All installation process was completed.
• 次にアプリケーションのパーミッションを手動で設定します。これを行わないとGoogleアカウントの同期設定にカレンダーとコンタクトが出てきません。
  • Settings/Installed appsを開きます。
    Open Settings/Installed apps.
  • “Google Calendar Sync”を開き、下の方にあるPermission managerをタップします。
    Open “Google Calendar Sync” and tap “Permission manager” in the bottom.
  • “Read calendar events”をAcceptに設定します。
    Set “Accept” to “Read calendar events”.
  • 同様に”Google Contact Sync”の”Modify and delete contacts”, “Read your contacts”, “Access accounts on device”をそれぞれAcceptにします。
    Do same thing to “Google Contact Sync”. Set Accept to “Modify and delete contacts”, “Read your contacts” .
• 端末を再起動後、Play Storeを立ち上げてGoogle Accountを設定して終了です。
  Reboot the terminal and run Play Store to setup Google account.

実際のところ、細かい不具合が出たりして、何度か同じ手順で何度か再設定を行っています。それでも一部おかしなところが残っています。やはり一番良いのはGlobal ROMに変更することだと思います。

Actually, I still have minor problems on my Mi5.  It would be better to use Global ROM, I guess.
